Capacity Building

NLR perceives capacity building or capacity development, as a conceptual approach to social or personal development that focuses on understanding the obstacles that inhibit community people, government agencies and partner organizations from realizing their development goals while enhancing the abilities that will allow them to achieve measurable and sustainable results.

Fundraising, training centers, training workshops, exposure visit, office and documentation support, on the job training, learning centers and consultants are all some forms of capacity building initiatives which NLR undertakes.

NLR harmonizes the concept of community capacity development by building resilience, skills, competencies and abilities of people and communities in developing societies so they can overcome the causes of their exclusion, suffering, stigmatization and violation of human rights.

NLR is engaged in Organizational capacity building of its partners by enhancing their abilities to perform specific activities so that they can better fulfill their defined mission.
